MUSIC & OLDER PEOPLE

Oh Yeah has developed a strong programme supporting older people through music. An ageing population and a strategic commitment to supporting older people by reducing isolation, providing better access, encouraging participation, and increasing reengagement into music is central to this outreach.

We do this through specific workshops aimed at including older people into music through reminiscence and celebratory work with talks, presentations, gigs, workshops, shared stories and experiences, including participation, performance and production.

We have worked with partner organisations that include Newington Day Centre, CLARE CIC, Golden Thread Gallery and Over the Hill Music Collective. Check out the videos below to gain some insight into the amazing Oh Yeah music & older people’s projects that have come about by partnering with these incredible organisations within the community.
