At the Oh Yeah Music Centre, we’re passionate about creating a vibrant, inclusive community where music brings people together. With projects that span all ages, abilities, and needs, we provide safe, welcoming spaces to connect, learn, and grow—both in our centre and through outreach that brings music into the heart of local communities

Community
& Outreach

Acoustic Picnic is our free monthly event that brings families together for a fun-filled day of live music, creativity, and connection. Especially loved by families with younger children (ages 6 and under), all are welcome to enjoy classic sing-alongs from the Over The Hill Collective, explore arts and crafts, play games or dance to the music.

We encourage you to bring your own picnic to enjoy, but you can also purchase snacks and hot drinks at the centre . Whether you're into music, art, or just looking for quality time with the family, Acoustic Picnic offers a joyful, creative escape for all ages.

Thanks to Belfast Harbour we are able to keep this event free.

Music &
Older People

This creative outreach programme uses music to reduce isolation, spark memories, and celebrate voices later in life. From workshops to performances, we connect older people with the joy of making and sharing music.

Oh Yeah’s Music & Older People Programme supports older adults through music, aiming to reduce isolation, spark memories, boost participation and celebrate voices later in life. Through workshops, performances, talks, and shared storytelling, we connect older people with the joy of making and sharing music, offering space for creativity, connection, and community. We’re proud to partner with organisations like Newington Day Centre, CLARE CIC, Golden Thread Gallery, and the Over the Hill Music Collective.

work with us

Do you work with a school, community group or organisation that could benefit from creative engagement through music? We’re building a network of community partners across Belfast and beyond who are passionate about the role music can play in people’s lives, and offer tailored programmes delivered that can be delivered at the Oh Yeah Music Centre or brought to your space.

We can offer:

  • Music workshops for all ages and abilities

  • Talks and reminiscence sessions for older adults

  • Live music performances and acoustic sets

  • Family-friendly arts and music activities

  • Collaborative programming for community festivals and events

Whether you’d like us to visit your group, co-design a new initiative, or host a music-filled event at our centre, we’d love to collaborate with you. Please get in touch to discuss.
