THE JOE STRUMMER FOUNDATION: THE STORY BEHIND THE ROOMS

The Joe Strummer Foundation played a vital role in funding the creation of two Oh Yeah rehearsal rooms. The foundation was impressed with our plans for one space and ultimately supported the building of two. Additionally, they provided artwork, images, lyric sheets, and insights into the songwriting process of The Clash to inspire and support young songwriters and bands.

After Joe Strummer's sudden and tragic passing, we wanted to honor his legacy by creating something positive. One year later, Strummerville was rebranded as the Joe Strummer Foundation, with a clear mission to support musicians and projects that promote empowerment through music.
