With A Fada Magazine is taking over the Oh Yeah Music Centre for Fleadh 2026 for two evenings and we’re set for a truly special celebration of the future of Irish traditional and folk music.

The concept is simple- they've curated an exciting lineup of modern trad and folk artists, bringing together emerging talent and established names who are pushing the boundaries of the genre while staying rooted in tradition.

Eugene, Daniel, James, Sinéad, Peter, Ciarán and Catríona, or The McKenna Family from Augher, Co. Tyrone are 7 siblings steeped in Irish traditional music for 4 generations. Their sound reflects a deep innate musical bondage that only siblings with a shared musical upbringing can exhibit.

The siblings are highly sought after and celebrated as both solo musicians and as a family band. They have toured Ireland, Europe and the USA and have made guest appearances on numerous TV and radio broadcasts such as RTÉ’s Late Late Show, Geantraí (TG4), Fleadh Live (TG4), and Céilí House.

This special concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will heavily feature music from the McKenna’s 2026 debut album The Boys Of Carrickroe which is a tribute to their granduncles, the late fiddlers Pete and Pat McKenna. The album draws much from their musical lives and in part, draws directly from old recordings and repertoire pertaining to them.

They will be joined by Caoimhe Mulligan, a dynamic and prolific séan-nós dancer from Dublin, proudly carrying forward the rich legacy of the Mulligan dynasty — a family steeped in music for five generations.

Rooted in place and family, this afternoon concert will showcase the finest of traditional music, song and dance in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter.

Bringing their trademark "chunky" style to the fore, Gary Curley and Stephen McKee have combined accordion and banjo in a sound that is rhythmically strong, grounded, and distinctively their own. In 2025, the duo released their debut album, CHUNKY BUSINESS.

Conor McAuley is a cornerstone of Belfast’s music scene, celebrated for his versatility as both a trad and experimental powerhouse and as the drummer for punk outfit New Pagans. His latest project, the Corás Trio, reimagines the Irish tradition: their music sees melodies emerge from blissful, atmospheric textures, foregrounding fiddle, guitar, and percussion against a backdrop of transcendental electronics. The result is a sound that effortlessly bridges collective free improvisation with the infectious energy of a seisiún.

Join us as Conor and special guests open our Open Trad Sesiún. The floor is open to all—singers, players, and listeners. Come along and see who joins the circle.

Our Singing Seisiún is back for a special Fleadh edition! We are beyond excitment to have Landless as our guests! Landless are: Lily Power, Méabh Meir, Ruth Clinton and Sinéad Lynch. The Irish quartet sings centuries old ballads as well as more recently penned folk songs.

Belfast’s premier traditional tattoo studio, Skullduggery Tatu, is coming to the Oh Yeah Centre for a massive Fleadh finale.

Every four months, the team drops a bespoke series of flash art inspired by the Celtic Calendar. This time we’re celebrating Lughnasadh—the harvest festival. We're leaning into the theme of community, bringing people together to cap off a week of celebrations.

Alongside the tattoos, we’re hosting an art market showcasing Belfast’s brightest creative talent. It’s your last chance to grab exclusive Fleadh souvenirs, make new friends, and soak up the craic agus ceól.

Come celebrate our city with us. No Booking Necessary - Tattoos will be on a first come first served basis.

Middle Aisle x Oh Yeah present: Córas Trio & Grainne Meyer Double Bill.

Córas Trio reinvent the spontaneous. Deconstructed Irish traditional melodies emerge from blissful, otherworldly textures that foreground fiddle, guitar and percussion with transcendental electronics; suspending elements of collective free improvisation with seisiún-style playfulness.

Gráinne Meyer is a Belfast-based harpist, composer and PhD researcher at Queen’s University Belfast, whose work combines original, improvised and traditional influences with a particular interest in accessible and inclusive music making. Drawing on both traditional Irish and concert harp, her sound is described by Pwyll ap Siôn as “an evolved and multidimensional approach to melody.”

Dara Dubh is an Irish indie–folk–rock artist whose songs sit somewhere between heartfelt confession and a good kick up the road. A singer-songwriter and harpist with a habit of blending the delicate with the downright fierce, she brings a sharp emotional edge to a sound shaped by folk roots, alternative influences, and whatever else has been rattling around her head that week.

With the harp as her trusted companion, Dubh challenges the idea of an instrument often associated with traditional music. The harp has found new life in Dara’s hands as she pushes the boundaries of its capabilities, and a voice that can shift from whisper-soft to unapologetically powerful without warning.

The Vibes are an 8-piece band from Belfast made up of Irish, Scottish and Swedish reggae fans. The Vibes do a mixture of their own original Irish reggae material, covers of Jamaican reggae and old school ska; the band also take music from other genres (folk/soul/rock) and do reggae versions of songs... 

For this project they are taking a bunch of Irish traditional songs, sets of reels, hornpipes, polkas, and some other Irish folk songs from the likes of Paul Brady and Christy Moore, and these have been given a reggae/ska spin, merging different traditions. The Vibes are joined by two great trad players with Elaine Murphy (flute/whistles/vocals) and Conor Brady (concertina)

Our DJ for the evening is Lisa Flavelle-Stephens who will be busting out a set to reflect our evening of mixing folk traditions from around the world.

Join in the spirit of Fleadh Cheoil with Lótus Azul (formerly Blackjack + Jai Sian) as they launch their new project at the Oh Yeah Centre's newly licensed outdoor space. Expect a vibrant street block party filled with Soulful Grooves, Funk, Jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms. Featuring a live DJ (tbc) and special guest musicians joining the band for spontaneous jam sessions, this event is a celebration of Belfast's rich cultural diversity, showcasing the city's exceptional musicianship and globally inspired sounds. Step into a lively street party packed with rhythm, colour, and feel-good vibes.

Soultrane is Ireland's first festival and year-round programme dedicated to soul, jazz and music of Black origin, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and lasting influence of these genres.Taking over the Yard Stage at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in true block party style, the line-up features DJ Dee La Soul, renowned for his impeccable soul selections and infectious energy, the genre-blending sounds of Tribal Ting, and the irresistible soul grooves of Manukahunney.
