In collaboration with the Strand Arts Centre and the Golden Threads Gallery, Over The Hill Collective has been putting together the Silver Screens Programme. Using memories from music and film to build confidences and camaraderie, older people groups were asked to recreate iconic film posters. Hearing from Paul and the different hosts of the shooting, it was a lot of fun but also a moment for opening up some great debate about social issues and how some things have changed and some haven’t.
On Thursday, 11th April, was the screening of ‘Easter Parade’, followed by live music and the display of the posters.
Here are some!
If you want to see them all, they’ll be exhibited at the Golden Threads Gallery pop-up shop in Castle Court in May, with some behind the scene pictures!
